The Best Rendition

This reading of these most famous and difficult sonatas (as well as the reproduction of the recording itself) is, without a doubt, the best I have ever heard. I've heard these from Horowitz, Brendel, Richter, and other, lesser known, virtuosos. This is the best, most alive, and most enjoyable. His Appassionata is especially good. Skip the others on iTunes, and go with this one.

The best.

You will not find better renditions of these Beethoven pieces anywhere! Kempff nails every note technically and emotionally .

Quite possible the best performance

Mr. Kempff is quite a piano virtuoso his performance of sonaten N.8 Pathéthique almost made me cry in the middle of the day on a bus.
Yes that's how good he is.
I wish there had been some recording artifact when Beethoven was alive so i could see him playing his compositions.
Marvelous Album if you are getting into classical music you have to purchase this album!
