Album Review

La Rue's self-titled debut album features brother Phillip and sister Natalie's sweet harmonies and acoustic-based melodies. "Reason," "One Day of the Week," and "Someday" mix uplifting, optimistic messages with catchy songwriting, while tracks like "Stars" and "Run to You" reveal the duo's fondness for Sarah McLachlan's ethereal, alternative-pop style. "Fallen King," "Waiting Room," and "Katie" are some of the other highlights of this strong debut. LaRue is one of the most appealing and engaging CCM albums in recent memory.

what an effort! 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 10 are my faves.

Touching

1st Christian album I bought after seeing them live at a small concert held in a high school auditorium. This is an album I have listened to non-stop over the years and decided to buy it digitally after wearing it out. When this came out Christian music was the furthest thing from music that I liked as someone who perferred country. This is an uplifting folk sound, not the dreary sound so many folk/acoustic albums have. Will not be disappointed. If you like nothing else, I hope "someday" makes it worth buying. An amazing song about finding the person you've been praying for.

Reason

I grew up with the song "Reason." It's so peaceful and I love the beginning synth. It makes me wanna sleep peacefully.
