Best Pierrot Lunaire ever Recorded

I love the Sprechstimme in this recording. The slidings-away from the notes are on the whole avoided, which makes for a more melodic performance. I saw the movie One Night, One Life, starring Christine Schaefer as Pierrot. Quite excellent.


Ok. So. I'm a metal head. It's a problem, and I know it. When I went away to study music at school though, I knew it would involve cultivating an appreciation for classical music. This right here, my friends, is one of the scariest pieces of music that will ever cross your ears. The atonal quality is similar to a lot of chaos-core bands like Heavy Heavy Low Low or The Number 12 Looks Like You...This is top notch stuff...Check it out. Your ears will be pleased.


This is an amazing recording of an amazing piece. A+ to the performers, the conducter (gotta love Boulez), and to the composer (who kicks some serious A**). A must have for anyone who appreciates 12-tone
