Gonna be good!

This band is legit. I've been a fan since 2008 and they are going in the right direction. Sounds different but in the best way!

Most innovative 21st century music to date?! You bet!

Let me first start by saying that in 'First Temple’ (debut album) Closure in Moscow established a new paradigm in the progressive rock genre, like creating different sound effects, incorporating multiple variety of instruments, amazing guitar riffs, solos and bass lines, along with vast great (and overwhelming) lyrics. Pink Lemonade picks up with these amazing qualities they already have but in a much MUCH larger scale. This time around the band takes the listener and throws it into some kind of dimensions jumping one to another sooner than you think. It is something that it can’t be expressed in mere words. My favourites and most powerful tracks would be ‘Pink Lemonade’, ‘Neoprene Byzantine’, ’Seeds of Gold' ‘Dinosaur Boss Battle’, ‘Mauerbauertraurigkeit’, ‘The Church of the Technochrist’ and ‘Beckon Fire’. The last track 'ピンク レモネード’ is just pure genius, a perfect surprise.

The album may be one of the weirdest, but it is the most epic work of art released this century by far.

One of the freshest releases I've heard in years!

It's all too easy to keep churning out the same old stuff year after year with a lot of artists and groups. Once you strike gold once, the formula begets itself so you just keep regurgitating the typical to fans and never ever really push yourself or your listeners.

Closure in Moscow have managed to push past the boundaries and deliver what I believe is one of the freshest album experiences I've heard in years. Notice how I said "album experience". This album is written to be listened to in its entirety and enjoyed just like the albums of old. The songs are clever, catchy and push your limits just enough to know that you are listening to something stellar. Songs like Seeds of Gold show the maturity of a band that know how to write a standard pop song and give it some pizazz, where as the title track Pink Lemonade show us that nothing is sacred genre wise and anything goes.

I give it a solid 5 for clever uniqueness and for the absolute daringness to release something which pushes the boundaries of a listener, yet still manages to maintain control and vision and remain incredibly catchy. In a world full of mediocre artists and groups at the moment dare I say this could be album of the year?

Formed: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

Genre: Alternative

Years Active: '00s

Closure in Moscow initially developed a strong fan base in the band’s native Australia, before scoring an opening slot on a tour with popular Stateside post-hardcore band Saosin. The resulting exposure gave the Down Under quintet a foothold internationally and they were soon signed by Equal Vision records and embarked on an extensive U.S. tour. Though not quite as wildly diverse as the Mars Volta, Closure in Moscow soon drew favorable...
