Album Review

The band's follow-up is a slicker though less interesting affair. "I Could Be Happy" and "See Those Eyes" show that they can still pull off a couple of catchy singles but a cover of Neil Diamond's "Song Sung Blue" is certainly a mistake.

"Song Sung Blue" Is THE Reason This Works

I often wonder whether or not the iTunes "pro" reviewers have actually listened to an album in its entirety before rambling some negative generic diatribe. The reason that the New Wave movement grew into the phenomenon it became was because bands took great music out of its formulaic comfort zone, twisted it, and created original interpretations. I snagged this as a CD release - problem is that it is now hard to find so this iTunes offering is the next best thing.--ENJOY!

I Could Be Happy

The full length version of I Could Be Happy! Yay!!! Wonderful song. Hard to believe it's almost 30 years old. Headphones are a must. The short versions of this out there miss 90% of the goodness of this.

Two impressive BBC Peel Sessions helped the band land a contract with Epic. The Banshees' Steve Severin took them under his wing, producing their first...
