Reinvented Again

Dada seems to be able to "find their sound" anew with each album they put out. This self-titled release has a song or two for everyone. I have been a fan of the band since their first album, Puzzle, and this is a standout among their work. It is a bit more mainstream, but taken as a whole is a good example of what Dada is capable of. Be sure to check out "Information Undertow," "Baby Really Loves Me," and "Spinning My Wheels."

Where is "El Subliminoso"???????

California Gold is my favorite track on this album, although there is not a weak one. Do yourself a favor, buy this album and send an e-mail to Apple requesting that "El Subliminoso", "American Highway Flower", and the entire "Puzzle" album be made available on I-Tunes. These guys have NEVER been generic, and have an uncanny ability to evolve with each album release. Catch a show. You won't be disappointed.

An Essential Dada Album

This self-titled album has just about covers the entire spectrum of the musical experience. As always, the guitarwork and melodic vocals are inspiring and intriguing. Fan favorites include California Gold, Playboy in Outerspace, and the Beautiful Turnback Time Machine. This album is a must have for Dada fans or Dada discoverers.

Genre: Dance

Nevertheless, the band's debut record, 1992's Puzzle, was an updated version of the polished guitar pop that the Police pioneered in the early '80s. On the strength of the single "Dizz Knee Land," the group earned a fair amount of press and sold a number of records. When they delivered their second album, American Highway...
