Serious Grooves Ahead

Here is a solid record. For those without knowledge knowledge of the flourishing modern jazz scene of Japan, this record would make a wonderful introduction. For those growing their collections or seasoned veterans, Toconoma are a band to keep centered on your radar. This album is ripe with jamming bass lines, driving grooves, and riffs out the wazoo. Upon first listen, you're left satisfied but craving more. All of these tracks are killer, but highlights include "Nebula," "Monolith," and "Vermelho do Sol." Similar acts include Three Primary Colors, Special Others, bohemianvoodoo, and my personal favorite, fox capture plan.
