Diablo!! Salsa pa gastar los Zapatos

If you're into salsa monga, or salsa romantica... keep moving. This is my man Ray Viera, and he's not taking any prisoners. Salsa dura pa bailar, at it's finest. I've had the privelage of seeing Ray live, and he packs that same energy into this cd. The production is top notch, and the band is amazing. Highly recommended. You'll be hard pressed to find a better salsa dura cd today.

Tremendo Producción

Tuve la oportunidad de verlo en vivo en Puerto Rico y este muchacho tiene talento la producción esta bien buena. La recomiendo.

Salsa with Trombones and Jibaro= Trombao

Ray Viera's idea was carried out pretty good. I have heard a tighter Trombone section, but it's pretty good. The goal of this album is spelled out in the first track, so if you think you might like it, buy that one and listen to it. Basically he is trying to put forward his interpretation of the music that Puertoricans in USA have played since Rafael Hernandez joined an Army band for WW I. The instrumentation is like Eddie Palmieri and Willie Colon, with a strong Trombone only brass. The jibaro comes forward with a Puertorican Cuatro being played in a few tracks, one of them a Puertorican Seis. There is also a bolero about being a father, funny thing I never heard those before but in the last year this is the second I have heard. The last track, which is live and was the last track at a concert in Puerto Rico, closed the album perfectly.
