Sexy and Sophisticated

While a bit noisy in parts, this album is beautifully done. Truly interesting and captivating.

Fast Forward

Mildly aggressive jazzy piano beats a soulful path to an adventurous strategy for this well rounded group. I enjoy the liberal injections of staccato and noisy transits. They are never lost but I occasionally find they've chosen different routes to the finish of these melodies than I had anticipated. I particularly like 'Anthem For The Earnest' and 'Rhinoceros Is My Profession'. I have yet to see them live. Maybe they can get booked at the Snug Harbor in New Orleans and I'll get the chance.
