u r wrong

Prequel to a Classic is a mixtape, which means it contains snippets of some songs off the upcoming new album and a couple new songs that wont be on the new cd. This cd is pretty good, BR Gunna's production work is excellent and as always T3 and Elzhi completely kill it lyrically on every track they're on. Definitely required listening for anyone who is a committed Slum Village fan and even those that aren't, this just might convert you.

I Love The Slum

I'm sorry to say that I miss the old Slum Village sound. The underground sounds that were so abundant in the Fantastic Vol.I and II are no longer. I wish that they still had the sound but I am happy that the new SV has adopted a sound if their own. I know now that any other hip hop sound will never be the same due to the untimely departure of J-Dilla, I just hope that under such circumstances Slum will rise to the occasion, and keep making music.
