Album Review

Just like Soulja Boy’s 2008 release iSouljaboytellem, this 2010 effort offers fun and simple singles that live or die by their hook, and if you’re in the midst of a full-on party, you’ll respond “bammer bammer bammer” just like you’re supposed to when the party rapper offers “Speakers Going Hammer.” “Pretty Boy Swag” brings welcome reminders of when everyone was asking for their chicken noodle soup with a soda on the side, and 50 Cent appears for the team-up “Mean Mug,” an enjoyable mix of G-Unit thugging and ringtone rap wilding out, The DeAndre Way has already offered up a weekend worth of highlights.

Go away Soulja.
Got lucky with a dance song.
Shout out for you riding it out this long.
Peeped the whole album on his mypsace.
I'm surprised my ears didn't bleed.

I lost all respect I had left for you when you called him out.

Something I'd Find In My Toilet

I'm a sympathetic guy. Even though I don't appreciate some artists, I've come to terms accepting that they at least have talent and they wouldn't be where they were today without it. I'm not afraid nor ashamed to say that Soulja Boy has absolutely none. His lyrics are trash, the beats and rhythms are poor, his voice is absolutely repulsing and he can't rap for the life of him.
This is definately one of the worst albums ever produced. Even though I'm not a Hip-Hop/Rap fan, I can tolerate most famous rap artists such as Eminem, B.o.B., Kid Cudi, etc. They can actually produce pretty powerful material. This boy on the other hand, is absolute garbage. Not even Trey Songz nor 50 Cent could save this pathetic excuse for an album. I don't understand how he even managed to get his hands on a record deal in the first place.
He doesn't deserve any of the credit he receives. I'm usually respectful towards fans of artists/bands I don't appreciate, but I'm not in the least afraid to bash his pathetic followers.
Music is gradually taking a turn for the worst, and Soulja Boy certainly plays a significant role. This record is the true definition of the word s**t.

Before he reached the age of 18, Soulja Boy Tell Em (born DeAndre Way; originally Soulja Boy until copyright issues interfered) was already an ambitious artist and a seasoned businessman wielding all the hitmaking requirements: producer, live entertainer, and an ability to write catchy hooks. Born in 1990 in Chicago, Illinois, Way moved from the Windy City down to Atlanta when he was six years old, but then went to live with his father in Batesville, Mississippi at age 14. In Mississippi, the young...
