Album Review

She almost quit the industry a few years back, and fortunately she didn't, because Priceless is almost as good as her 1997 debut. Priceless features a multitude of guests ranging from Eric Clapton to fellow diva Faith Evans, but it's Price's voice that unquestionably stands out as the centerpiece. Equal parts powerful and sensual, Priceless reads from track to track almost like an autobiography of Price's life. Easily the highlight of the album is a powerful duet with Faith Evans that unquestionably steals the show. But Priceless is not without its faults, either. There are moments of self-indulgence that hinder Priceless from being great instead of "just good." Unnecessary skits about expensive cars and borrowing the melody of The Brady Bunch theme song just seem unoriginal and downright wrong. That aside, Priceless is a solid album and a much-needed return of a quality R&B vocalist in a genre over-saturated with mediocrity.

Off The Chain!!!!!!

Kelly wouldn't have to prove herself to me because her voice is so powerful and a source of what I consider true talent and a blessing. This album is another spotlight album I think didn't recive the recoginition it deserves because I see it's made by a wonderful artist who has come a long way and made Grammy nominated albums in the past and many I see in the future. This album is just KP's spotlight album that is filled with Gospel and R&B lyrics that I see made her the young Queen of Gospel & R&B in this generation. KP do what do best because I see you are wonderfully blessed and talented.

Message to Kelly:

THE VOICE is what gives this any credibility. I look forward to a new work that has songs that are at least as good as some done previously. She coulda been a "contenda" is not what we want to hear with this artist- she has "IT" AND IT HAS TO BE BROUGHT OUT BIG TIME. This woman is as great as any of the voices of today's or before, artists that dominate the top of the charts. Kelly- you need to find a way to change the direction of your career like the guys who created Tina Turner's immediate climb to the heights by bringing out her unique essence. Her secret: she willed it & knew she had to share it. Some of the songs on this album are songs worth singing over again for a lengthy career. This special voice needs some more of these . We're just waiting for the mercury to climb on this vocalist; too good to be overshadowed by the just adequate artists, who are on today's top of the charts. Kelly, you better start working out 'cause, you're a comin' out and big! Will it (-ever!)

A lot of people slept on this album but I think this is one of Kelly's best project 2 date. Songs like "So Sweet" "Whatcha Gon Do" and "Girlfriend" display her true skils in writing and vocals! Buy the album u will enjoy it!!!!!
