Amazing Album

Mike Viola does it again with this awesome masterpiece….keep up the good work!

Another great release

I saw Mike at the Lizard Lounge in Cambridge, MA two weeks ago-he played many of the songs contained on this release-some that I hadn't heard before. Recorded with violists Eric Summer and Kate Reddish, Acousto de Perfecto is a must-have for both long-time fans and those new to Mike Viola.

Just Listen!

I was sitting here trying to think of the right adjectives for Viola's voice (plaintive?, haunting?…) and it just occurred to me how pointless these music reviews are in a venue where you can just sample all the songs for yourself. I hope enough people do so that Mike makes a good living and feels loved and keeps on making his lovely music, but not so many people that he gets crazy rich and lazy and venereal diseases from all his groupies and only performs in huge venues and his ego gets out of control and he becomes a pompous jerk and his songwriting suffers and he ODs on designer drugs. So please give this great music a try but let's keep it under control.
