Excellent instrumental bluegrass of some fine old songs

You never can go wrong with Roger Sprung. I've not heard a bad album yet. He has a way of taking tunes that most people have forgotten, and breathing new life into them. Then he takes a tune that one would never equate with bluegrass, and grasses it up. After that you can't imagine anyone else playing the tune. Check out "Buck's Stumble" and "Moscow Nights" on this one.

Roger Sprung is proud to be part of a small New York-born fraternity of banjoists, most likely to separate them from the horde that frail and hail from the Appalachian area.
