Album Review

Blood Rooted is an album designed for Sepultura fanatics — a full disc of rarities and unreleased music, featuring live tracks, covers, and demos. There are several throwaways here, but what's surprising is how many of these songs are worthwhile, particularly a cover of Celtic Frost's "Procreation of the Wicked" and the Mike Patton duet "Mine." Only dedicated fans need pick up Blood Rooted, but they'll find many treasures here.

The first review sweet!

I believe this band has inspired many of the bands we enjoy today they sound like well im sorry, death metal bands today take take so much from this band even if they dont know it. Sepultura has an amazing sound if you dont believe me listen to refuse resist (live) (I like it better than the studio recording). This song is a masterpiece of metal it was even on VH1's 40 Greatest Metal Songs I think it was number 17. With refuse resist turn it up a little bit louder than usual but not to loud because you need a hearing aid afterword.

You don't need this.

I don't give this a low rating because the songs are bad. No, most of the songs are actually very good. I give it a low rating because you don't need it unless you are a real Sepultura completist. This is a disjointed collection of demos, covers, and remixes. If you have Chaos AD and Roots then you already have better versions of most of the songs on this CD. The covers are mostly taken from soundtracks. Like I said, the majority of the songs on here are very good, but better versions of most are available elsewhere. If you are a die hard Sepultura fan, then by all means get this to complete your collection. You won't be disappointed. But if you are a casual Sep fan or are just getting into the band, get Chaos AD and Roots first.

it's real sepultura buy it

there metal gods in my eyes the new lineup is good but can't hold a candle 2 the original procreation is sick mine with mike from FAITH and a bunch a live traks 2 buy it you fool buy it now

From their humble beginnings in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Sepultura went on to become the most successful Brazilian heavy metal band in history. Over a ten-year period, the band grew from strength to strength, transforming itself from a primitive death metal ensemble into one of the leading creative trendsetters of the international aggressive music scene. Unfortunately, a bitter internal crisis almost destroyed the band, and Sepultura struggled to recover their previous momentum. Hailing from Brazil's...
