Album Review

Taking his quintessentially American style of cut-up mixing overseas, Bad Boy Bill fortunately didn't tinker with the mix too much, preferring instead to concentrate on the usual extroverted, pumping tracks from favorites like Angel Alanis ("Chi's Revenge," "La Musica," "Funk Master") and Armand Van Helden ("Necessary Evil"). He does toss a few bones to the London audience courtesy of more internationally focused club hits — Moby's "Body Rock," Groove Armada's "I See You Baby," Novy Vs. Eniac's "Pumping" — but there's absolutely no comedown or compromise to Bad Boy Bill's mix on Bangin in London.

"Cutting up tracks with a fader in his hand"

Out of the entire Bangin the Box series, Behind the Decks and so on, this would-probably- be my favorite of Bad Boy Bill's. This album in particular has a lot of nostalgia for me so I might be bias, but one look at the track listings and any House-head will realize this album is tip-top. Tha Music and Be Wit U would be my two favorite tacks on this album, but really, there isn't a track I skip and love the majority of them. I would rant more and list all of my favorites in order, but I'll abide by iTunes pleas to keep the reviews more concise haha. The album is amazing. A great intro for those not familiar with the genre, and a classic to those who own it. Well worth your money. I hope iTunes continues to add more Bad Boy Bill albums as well as many other House artists.

Great album one of the best hard house DJ'S. This album takes me back was happy to see it on itunes. Hope to see more of his albums and video's on here

Not impressed!

I grew up in Chicago listening to Bad Boy Bill since he was on WBMX (Hot Mix 5) I have all the Bangin' the Box CD's. "Behind the Decks" is my personal favorite. Awesome house music mixed to perfection. Bangin' in London is filled with too much of that repetitive, annoying hard house. Glad I got to hear it on iTunes before wasting my money on it.

Hard house DJ Bad Boy Bill was born and raised in Chicago, and began mixing records at the age of 14. Bad Boy Bill went on to spin records throughout the world, even...
