iTunes Review

This collection, curated by Sir Paul, proves there are second and third acts in life. Pure McCartney highlights his solo works from his 1970 debut to 2015. There are plenty of curios mixed in with the hits—too many here to mention—presenting a comprehensive, well-balanced road map of the legend’s long and winding career.

Pure McCartney (Deluse Edition)

If your new to Paul or casual listener, buy it, sit back and be amazed at what a true talent is. If your a fan that has listened to Paul since 1964, skip it. It nothing more than a bunch of songs you can put together from all the other releases that have already been put out. Just a money squeeze for fans that buy anything. Nothing new. I have put together better track listings. They really missed the boat on some rare and fun songs, I'll just give an exmaple of one, "Flying to My Home".

As some other reviewers have pointed out, Paul’s career and talent is so good, it is very difficult to narrow his entire career into 60 some odd songs. There are some obvious omissions. For the casual listener, this is great, but I would go and buy all of the individual albums it is WELL WORTH IT!!! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!! From ‘McCartney’ to ‘New,’ all of his albums have a certain charm, especially after a few listens, that you just don’t get from most artists.

McCartney's hot streak began in 1970, when he became the first Beatle to leave the group. A little more than a year after the...
