Wow, he once was bad to the bone and now he is singing a children's song. Ironic huh? Hahah anyways good song

Lighten up-it's not a kid's song...

This is a novelty song, a genre that has been around for many many years (as I have, and apparently as Thorogood also has). It was a #1 hit for Sheb Wooley in 1958, a huge hit which stayed on the chart's for 14 weeks. Did George do it for big money? Of course not-he did it because he got a hoot out of it. Remember kids-"it's only rock & roll".
