Customer Reviews

Definitely more good stuff for Dulli fans..

I was a little skeptical after a so-so Pitchfork review, and at first listen, these songs do sound pretty familiar if you've heard a lot of Dulli's projects. Most of this album was originally recorded before the 2 Twilight Singers albums, which explains the similiarities. But also knowing that, there is a more raw element to these songs. Cigarettes sounds much like a less polished "Teenage Wristband." But this in no way, spoils his album, it only makes it more interesting (to me anyway.) If you are fan of Dulli or want an album or mature emotional quality, highly recommended.

Dulli...Always Divine.

I have been a devotee of Dulli since 1991 and have followed his many incarnations. I must admit, my lust once again went through the roof as soon as "So Tight" began. This album blends old-dulli with new-dulli but essentially him - his feel, his swagger, his sense. I feel like the first time I heard "Gentleman". Well recommended for lovers of Afghan and Twilight.

The Cigarettes are gonna kill me...

This album and it's maker are criminally under-rated. Buy it now. I swear to you, you won't regret it. Then buy every Afghan Whigs record. Then all the Twilight Singers. Then get ready for Greg Dulli and Mark Lanegan's side project, The Gutter Twins. All praise due...
