iTunes Review

Welcoming and earthy, Corinne Bailey Rae’s self-titled album sounds so self-assured that it’s shocking to realize it was her first release as a solo artist. Schooled in both classical violin and hard-edged rock, the English singer/songwriter alchemized her influences to produce a soulful, strikingly timeless collection. These warm-hued, languid cuts—especially the gentle, brassy sway of “Put Your Records On” and the dreamy, acoustic “Like a Star”—radiate an exquisite polish.

Loved this album for a long time

I saw that this album didn’t have a review, and I had to write one. I remember when ‘Put Your Records On’ was on Vh1’s You Oughta Know. I loved that song immediately, and within a few days I’d bought the album. I’ve listened to it constantly ever since. Love it. Choux Pastry Heart and Trouble Sleeping are my favorites.

Beautiful, soothing voice

I stumbled onto this artist and fell in love. Her voice is so melodic and soothing. Check out "Put your records on" and "trouble sleeping." Bravo!

Who Doesn't Love This? can get any classy than this! This is a smooth album. She is AMAZING!!
