The Ryche is Back!

This album is fantastic. It takes me back to some of Queensryche's earliest, and best-loved, albums. I think it's pretty clear, after listening to this album and Condition Human, that Geoff Tate and his band of session musicians were the driving force for the weak albums that followed HITNF. Great songwriting on this album, and Todd LaTorre's outstanding voice and Parker Lundgren's steady guitar are terrific additions.

If I had to pick a nit, it's with some of the recording. The album seems, well, "too loud." It comes across distorted in most of my speakers, so I have to turn the volume down almost to nothing to be able to distinctly hear the music without distortion. Just a minor complaint.

Ryche on!

This collection of songs from QR demonstrate how good they really are ...and without Geoff Tate. The choice of track order is spectacular and makes this album flow like none other..well, besides OMC. I've been a QR fan since 1985 and after Dedicated to Chaos was released..ughh..but this returns them to prominence amongst the greatest.
