iTunes Review

On his ninth album, Euge Groove continues to find the fertile middle ground between jazz, R&B, funk, and soul with an expressive playing style. Featuring nine originals and a cover, this album is at its absolute best when he digs into the funk for tunes like the surging original title track, with its big hook. Guitarist Paul Brown also stops by for the insistent midtempo song “Homie Grown,” adding some tasty textures and a slippery acoustic solo. While best known for his tenor saxophone playing, Groove sounds right at home on soprano for the delicate “Forever and a Day” and “Miss Bane” (which was inspired by his wife). Another standout, “Rain Down on Me,” opens as an acoustic piano ballad before shifting to a sensuous gospel-like melody that's slow and deliberately unpacked, thus refuting the idea that this music is more popcraft than art. The sparkling cover of “Wild Flowers” rounds things out nicely with a fine vocal performance by American Idol’s Elliott Yamin.

Euge Groove

Euge has done it again!!!! This CD is awesome. Can't wait to see him September 6, 2014. Kudos to Euge

Simply the BEST!!

The best from one of two artists that I will go to the ends of earth to support. Euge Groove continues to give his listeners exactly what the want... the best he has to offer :). "Got 2 Be Groovin'" is fresh, fun and as all Euge projects are, FUNKY!! Mr. Groove works to make sure that there is something for everyone in his projects and this one is no different. Reflective and peaceful, romantic and loving, and of course the fun and party like atmosphere as well."Groovin Up Hip Street" is soulful", "Hey Hey Lil' Lilah Belle" is SOOO fun as is "Miss Bane," there is nothing more peaceful and reflective than "Rain Down on Me" and the most beautiful and romantic song you will find is "In Love with You." featuring gospel star Chanel Haynes from "Tri-n-tee -5-7. It is a wonderful contrast to "It's Only Rain" from Mr. Groove's "House of Groove" project. Euge also brings his musical friends Peter White and Paul Brown who each lend their guitar , Althea Rene on flute and another awesome vocalist in Elliott Yamin on the "Wildflower" remake. Get yours now, you will be SOOO glad you did!!!

The very best Euge Groove yet

This has got to be the best Euge Groove yet. It feels fresh and yet familiar. And very romantic as well. I can feel every note from his sax. Get this quick, you will be glad you did.

Euge Groove -- a pseudonym for saxophone journeyman Steve Grove -- began playing piano in the second grade and turned to the saxophone at the age of nine or ten. His teacher gave him a classical education on the instrument, which he continued at the University of Miami's School of Music, where he became interested in jazz. Upon graduation, he initially remained in Miami doing sessions and playing in bands such as Expose, where he can be heard on the group's 1987 number one single "Seasons Change."...
