Customer Reviews

The most beautiful "shoegaze" album in recent years

It's an atrocity that this album has not been reviewed already, receiving glowing praise and admiration. Malory is putting out some of the most beautiful music out there these days, and they reached a zenith with this release. I have very high hopes for their forthcoming 2009 release, so I don't want to imply that they "peaked" with this album, because I don't think that will be the case. However, this release was a perfect melding of their past sound infused with a few different style added into the mix, using electronics and shades of "drum n' bass" and "downtempo" styles to make this a very modern sounding release. Every "Chillout" compilation out there should have tracks off this release, as far as I'm concerned. My personal favorites, though, are "Endora" and "Wake Up." I cannot over-emphasize the beauty of these two songs. It's melancholy and bliss all at once...

happened to stumble across while listening to pale saints and was totally blown away. its a shame there isn't more music like this out there!!!
