Come to Chicago IL

They have managed to continue to continually change their sound. Always in a great direction. I hope they create a million more songs and do what they do. Thanks for great music throughout many years. I have been listening to this band for years, even had to open an AU iTunes to get them many years ago. Hope you guys can tour to Chicago, IL.

Different but...

Ever since I listened to the song 6 AM by The Holidays I was absolutely hooked. Post Paradise was the only album I listened to for months. When they announced they were releasing a new album I was positively ecstatic. Listening to their first single, Voices Drifting, I knew their sound was no longer up beat island-like tunes, and was something darker and deeper but I loved the single. I bought Real Feel at exactly midnight and listen to the album twice through and I must say I am disappointed. Although the album has admirable qualities such as the new sound, great lyrics, and unique tunes; it simply does not work as an album or a flowing work of art. I am a huge fan of this band and their variety, but I have to be honest in saying this album does not rival Post Paradise in the least. This is not to say their on not amazing singles on this album. Japan Window I have been listening to on repeat and morning workout is growing on me with each listen. But the flowing satisfaction I feel every time I listen to Post Paradise was lost in this album and replaced with a collection of music that simply does not go together. All of this said I will always be a fan of the Holidays and if they were ever to perform in America I would fly or drive to wherever they may be. Just was looking for something more in this album

I like it!

I like it, that's it.

Genre: Alternative

Australian indie pop band the Holidays formed in 2007 based around the songs of singer/guitarist Simon Jones. Along with high-school friend Will Magnus on synths and guitar, he was joined by bassist Alex Kortt and drummer Andrew Kerridge. Forging an offbeat pop sound that incorporated African and tropical rhythms and influences, they signed with Australian label Liberation Music in 2008 and released their first two EPs (The Holidays and When the Ship Goes Down) that same year. Faring well critically...
