"Last night, I dreamt I went Manderly again.."

The soundtrack of "Rebecca" takes you down the twisting lane to Manderly where you will find the spirit of Rebecca in every room of the mansion, where Rebecca still is in control of Manderly. While listening to the music, you while find the presence of Rebecca in the room with you...

Awesomely Suspenseful!

I absolutely loved the movie! Now I can listen to the music ALL DAY LONG!

Beautiful Interpretation

Though the McNeely version is generally better executed and more faithful to the original orchestrations, this soundtrack, though it has fewer "tracks," is actually a bit more complete, as it includes a few more cues that the other “full” soundtrack does not. The cue “Rebecca’s Room,” which is really the most important cue in the film (I imagine Waxman wrote this piece first, seeing as it truly exemplifies the feel and motifs of the entire score) is presented at its most haunting here. This rendition of the cue is by far the creepiest and most atmospheric, and, unlike for the rest of the soundtrack, the piece is bettered by the fact that the orchestra tends not to mesh all the time. However, this is not to say it isn’t well done; all in all, this is one of the finest soundtracks of Hollywood history and it is beautifully executed here! I highly recommend getting both this version and the McNeely version also available on iTunes as they complement each other nicely.

Around 1962, Adriano first heard the music of Ottorino Respighi on a radio quiz show and was captivated. Respighi's music eventually came to be one of his primary fields of interest. As a baritone,...
