iTunes Review

With his fourth album, Bryan Adams did what all cleanup hitters should do: knock out a grand slam. Reckless is so overstuffed with classic-rock-radio perennials, it practically qualifies as a greatest-hits collection. Arena-ready anthems like “Summer of ’69” and “Somebody” stayed true to Adams’ rocker roots, but the simmering intensity of “Run to You,” the lighter-sparking “Heaven,” and the soul-powered Tina Turner duet “It’s Only Love” revealed a greater depth to his denim-and-leather image.

Soundtrack for a generation

As perfect as a complete album can be, back when people bought music, bought albums, not just one song at a time. I'm glad to finally own good copies of these long last b-sides. Go Bills!!

Awesome all the way around

This was a great album anyway, but now that the anniversary edition of Reckless is FINALLY out, I'm really enjoying all of this extra music. The seven new songs on this album became some of my newest faves after the first listen. Definitely check out "Let Me Down Easy", "Play To Win", "Reckles", "Teacher, Teacher", and all the new songs on this album. You won't regret it if you are a true fan of Bryan's. And if you get a chance to see a show on this tour, I highly recommend it. I just caught one and it was incredible. One show I will never forget!!!!!!

Those were the best days of my life

If you're on the fence on buying this (because you probably still have it on tape or vinyl, as I do), then the live disc from April 1985 should make up your mind. Great stuff, and the unreleased tracks may not have fit the tone of the original album, but they are still excellent.

This whole set is a great reminder of when BA used to ROCK OUT.
