About 'Reckoning, 'all I can say is that the anticipation made the wait unbearable, but, the finished product made the wait so worthwhile. This is a beautiful album by a skilled and beautiful woman. Anyone who is seeing my words, if you are not yet on board with this release, do whatever you must to get a copy. Anyone who doesn't own this album is doing him or herself a disservice. Beautifully done, introspective, observational, caring and so many more are all words that can be used. If you are a loving, caring person, one who looks to the future with hope yet recognizes life in all its intricacies, and one who appreciates poetic imagery in both the lyrics and the music, then this album might well be the one to be the centerpiece of your collection,

I love this album! Jen sounds at her best; with plenty of variety in the melody throughout (even a bit of reggae influence!), poignant and insightful lyrics, an great energy. Props to the other musicians and producers involved!

Folk-rock has influenced her, but jazz, soul, funk, pop, and blues have also had a major impact on the New Yorker (who has stated that her taste in music ranges from Joni Mitchell and Steely Dan to Cassandra Wilson, Led...
