Heavy Ghetto

Heavy Ghetto

For a blatant one-joke group, The Notorious MSG have experienced surprising longevity. The three man crew released their first album Die Hungry in 2004, with tongue-in-cheek Asian comedy raps like "Straight Outta Canton" and "Chinese Funk." Rocking goofy wigs and matching leather suits, they ridiculed Asian stereotypes over throwback beats, with an ample amount of boasting thrown in for good measure. Lunch Money EP followed in 2007, and now they return with Heavy Ghetto. Lyrically silly with basic beats, this is an album for late nights and rowdy parties. Check out "Shanghai Superfly," "Hell Up In Hong Kong," and the LL-influenced love jam "Lonely G."
