LSN Alone makes this album a one of a kind!!!!

I usually don't particularly like my later heard versions of songs after my first heard one. But the fourth track on this is an exception; a well played fiddle rarely fails to put me out of a bad mood, and I always have to bob my head and/or smile upon hearing one. I know little about this guy, but the more of his work that's introduced to me, it seems the more of it I want to listen to. Once again, Louisiana Saturday Night has gotta be his one of a kind best!!!

My favorite artist of all time

I sure do miss ol'mel. I've been a fan since I was a youngster and he remembered me at every concert I attended. RIP

Mel McDaniel decided on a career in music at age 14, after seeing Elvis Presley on television. After establishing himself in the bars and clubs of his hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma, McDaniel briefly landed in Nashville before settling in Anchorage, Alaska. It was there that he refined his songwriting and performance skills; when McDaniel returned to Nashville in 1976, he promptly signed a record deal with Capitol. He had some early success with the single "Have a Dream on Me," but really began to steamroll...
