Unfathomable (Deeper Than Decay)

This is the Skinny Puppy that we all grew to love and support. They were deserving of their title when these recordings were produced, and the early work is most definitely amongst their most admirable. I'm speaking not only for myself when I say that I believe Dwayne's death was the mark of their demise, and there are many reports obtainable and unobtainable confirming this belief amongst the others who supported the band. Don't bother wasting your time with any of this new electronic drivel that Skinny Puppy has produced. It is the mere shell of a band that never was. This is the band at their most genuine, authentic, and initially integral display of performance. Remission is essential amongst the long array of albums presented throughout Skinny Puppy's career. Let me summarize that for you: this is essential.

Outstanding work!

Unbelievable talent! Outstanding work and imagination. This is one of the most intense records and like the rest of Skinny Puppy's work, ahead of their time with creativity and improvising technology for such primitive selection of electronic instruments. You will apprecaite this, please BUY Remission!!!

Analyzation of the Lyrics for Remission

"Smothered Hope" is about dying for your politics in contrast to the politics around you. There's sorrow for the death of love and tomorrow is the escape. Nobody acknowledges the politics that lead you to need the escape and thus fairness meets new definitions. First hand love is really rotten because your politics are separate from the politics of those you love and thus the politics regarding them are likely to have corrupt value. Plenty is too much because life is filled with nonsense. Light from the womb makes the essence of your existence born from your very beginnings. Ogilvie's character maintains his essence and its essence is absolute. His past should regard what he has become, and the corruption surrounding all politics continues. "Glass Houses" is self-explanatory as all fabrications meet destruction in every way. "Incision" is about people misinterpreting what drug use is about for the individual using drugs. Ogilvie notions that what happens is the account for who chooses to do what they do. "Far Too Frail" begins noting that love is a battleground for the "poor" and "mighty" in blindfolds. Everyone disagrees with the decisions of your existence but reactions persist in spite of you. A hairpin decision defines the separation between tracks of mind and it expresses the moments of your existence. There is nothingness and the issues surrounding it inside of you, and the reflections of those in your past see the progression of your scenarios (for what it's worth to you). Their scenarios are sterile only in essence when in contrast to the corrupt politics that make their scenarios, Fantasy and flair create their scenarios from their blind perspectives (which is negatively meaningless to me). They are forever forgiving because their blindness is actually negative production from their politics (which they remain blind to through their perpetrations). Dare to summon Ogilvie for these idiots. They keep perpetrating through the "mainstream" and they taint the existence of the hopeless as they remain blind to the negativity they produce. The symptoms of recourse is the justification they produce for themselves (which is also negative). He's seen nothing because he fails to let their impact reach him and his existence defies theirs. Overspill is the overproduction of waste and toxic chemicals fabricated by our systems and far too frail is my current state of being. The politics they produce are frail too. "Icebreaker" is about surpassing the reflections of your past ones. The impact doesn't reach the majority. The city and its current placement of facilities, structures, and people amongst the institiutions creates a fracture between meaning and importance. He's lost because he doesn't need this from society. Puppets bound to the string of life are severed from the significance of their lives. Every interpretation of life is distorted by the progression of our lives. Fossil bullets and their reality destroy our wellbeing, and the aftermath of our reflections equals the only thing that matters (which is the end of our existence). "Solvent" appears to be all about Ogilvie's career and its meaning. (I pray to prey then die.) "Sleeping Beast" is about the meaninglessness of love. Nobody can reach Ogilvie (through love and all forms of interaction) and every day is the product of someone else's needlessness. His partner is a sleeping beast of needless produce. (Anguish is a product of needfulness.) He's powerless because she's impacting him when she shouldn't be. Indecision is the product of all stupidity. Their "interactions" and their implications create further needlessness. (His partner is dying.) They're forcefully and needlessly riding through the "interactions." (He's going insane.) The truth is that they are both involved in each other's stupidity and sense drowns needfully. He shouldn't be motivated in the first place. Nobody's worth the time of day. (You should keep your one and only solely to keep him/her from all other perpetrators.) The probing is disturbing because it's based around irrationality. He's not worth knowing because we don't need to further spread individuals' stupidity. (I originally didn't approve of the more recent albums because the noise was distinguishable from the origninal antimusic and I was not comprehending the lyrics. Now I understand that it's all industrial and vital to the discography.)

Drawing from the pioneering work of artists like Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire, and Suicide, the dark avant-industrial group Skinny Puppy formed in 1982 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Originally a duo comprised of former Images in Vogue drummer cEvin Key (born Kevin Crompton) and Nivek Ogre (aka Kevin Ogilvie), Skinny Puppy followed their debut cassette, Back and Forth, with the EP Remission, the first of many recordings with producer David "Rave" Ogilvie, in 1984.
