My first, extremely proud, iTunes purchase.

Let’s get this straight before I say anything else - I have never purchased an album on iTunes, and have never felt the inclination, ever… Until I heard these guy’s previous albums, but even more so, the first two songs of this new album. (This will be a slightly lengthy review).

I am deep lover of metal and rock, but my taste in music varies far and wide, and somehow, these guys know how to make magic which resonates so much with me, and give me never-ending eargasms from every track I hear. While listening to their stuff, I can feel intense emotions which I didn’t think possible with other artists - and they don’t even have lyrics! Heck, they don’t need any. Never will. I’ve have never had to resist so much head banging before - these first two singles are insanely awesome!

Polyphia are an incredible band with an insane amount of talent and respect for what music is. Their sound is unique amongst the vast array of bands, and have developed so much over the years, yet their signature sound is still there.

I seriously cannot wait until their album drops, and have never been more proud to have my first iTunes album purchase being these guys music.

To Tim, Scott, Clay G, Clay A (for filling in) and Marcus (for writing the drums despite no longer being in the band), thank you for your incredible music. Definitely aiming to you live in the future :)

The sound really flows on the album.

Compared to the over-technicality and density of Muse, many tracks here show some tasteful restraint.
Sure, there are some border-line EDM infused tracks that can alienate some purists...but, it avoids the pitfalls of idiosyncratic Djent that plagues so many instrumental Prog bands. Which is very welcome.

Pick it up, and go for a long drive.
