Warmth of original broadcast

This recording of of the broadcast of Brahams' German Requiem is wonderful on several levels. First, for those interested in the theology behind the art, we see Brahams' effort to create a truly Protestant or Lutheran requiem. This is beautiful in itself. Finally, the recording has the warmth and imperfections of an original radio broadcast. Some may find that irritating, but this reviewer finds it charming. A beautiful way to invest an hour of one's life.
