Effective soundtrack for an underrated movie

I liked the movie quite a lot -- too bad it's not getting the kind of publicity it deserves. Samuel L. Jackson was excellent in it. The soundtrack serves the film very well without overpowering the film, and I was touched by many moments. Very well done.

Nice Elevator Music...

Nuclear Pancakes!

This isn't an inspiring score. Is it too hard to get Thomas Newman to write the music?

Don't buy.

"Zulu Segue" (track #14) is called "Segue", and the artist is Shinjuku Zulu; the song appears on the 14-track album "Shinjuku Zulu". The Montreal Gazette writes of that album: "FOUR STARS. Breaks, house, reggae, exotic vocals...a CD worth repeated listens"; & the Globe & Mail says: "FOUR STARS. Sheer brilliance ...in Segue, a chain of syncopated gasps and a soaring African chorus changes a brooding bass line into the root of something earthy, sunny and intimate." Other albums by Shinjuku Zulu: "Various Chimeras", "Kiss the Honey, Honey", and recording as K.I.A., "Sonorous Susurrus", "Adieu Shinjuku Zulu", and "DXLR8 - Downtempo Best Of K.I.A. & Shinjuku Zulu".
