Been listening to LK since the early 1990's … after hearing her on New York's WNEW radio … been hooked ever since! What I really like about her is that she has always been true to her sound. I suppose artists feel the personal need to evolve and all that, and that's understandable. But it always seemed to me that LK has always been comfortable in her own skin and sound. That is the test of staying power, I think. Saw her at the Bottom Line with John Gorka a long time ago. You know the power of a true voice when they sound just as great in person as they do on disc. Great new music. Like coming home!

Whatcha want? A Singer or a Dancer?

In her ability to change styles, darkness/lightness, intonation and HER giving or not giving the stamp of approval to the engineer, she comes out in the very top group of female artists in particular, and across the board relative to all 'country-blues-bluegrass' genres.
Simply, there are some of Lucys' albums that I feel are at the very top of the style I most appreciate, and other albums that attract a different listener. That versatility is gold. I always buy her projects that might show up under "singer/songwriter" moreso than those who come up under different genres.

A True Gem

Great new music from a truly talented artist. Her songs sparkle like gems. Deeply personal and, as always, words that shoot straight to the heart. Beautiful.

Fifteen years later, having become a clinical psychologist as well as a sought-after duet and harmony singer, she made another surprising decision: she gave up her private practice and her position at a New York hospital to pursue a full-time singing career.
