iTunes Review

An album of moody, moonlit arena rock from the Followill clan. WALLS revisits the anthemic heights of their 2008 breakthrough—Only By The Night—while also showcasing a side of the band that’s often been obscured by bluster. You can hear it best in the “No Surprises”-like shimmer of “Conversation Piece” and feel it in the dark imagery of “Over,” a convincing, six-minute reflection on death and fame.

Customer Reviews

I haven’t quite listened to the album yet, but I can confidently say it will be better than Justin Bieber.

Been a fan for long time, listened to new song and love it. Sound is great, song is great, band is on their game.
Looking forward to release of entire CD.

Ditch This Producer!

I've been a Kings Of Leon fan for quite some time and I have rolled with the changes throughout and they've been exciting and enjoyable. I guess I made the mistake of listening to all of these songs when they played the album in its entirety live last week. The album just sounds FLAT. Either the producer or the engineer completely dropped the ball on the mix. "Over" sounds awesome live but on the album Matthews guitar doesn't sound like its cutting through glass at all. I mean it's borderline infuriating. Caleb's voice makes you guys unique. He should be front and center, not buried, and not washed with effects. The songs are there! Please guys, reconsider who is producing on the next album. If your thinking of going with Dravs again - don't!

Initially embraced as "the Southern Strokes" for their resurrection and reinvention of Dixie-styled rock & roll, Kings of Leon steadily morphed into an experimental rock outfit during the 2000s. The Tennessee-bred quartet debuted in 2003 with the Holy Roller Novocaine EP, whose blend of raw, unpolished boogie rock was further explored on their debut full-length, Youth & Young Manhood. Such revivalist music was matched by a similarly revivalist appearance -- including long hair, mustaches, and tight-fitting...
