Customer Reviews

There are certain songs like "Solar Eclipse" that are slow and meaningful to keep the pace of the album. Faster songs and more upbeat little ditties like "Love to Burn" keep your heart racing and believing in summer. These guys in Seahaven help keep the California vibe with this record. Most songs are longer than shorter, too, allowing for a longer time to reflect while plugging this one in. "Flesh" is another quicker song to contrast the slower reflective vibes consistent with the whole album. "On the Floor" is my personal favorite, lyrically and feelings I get from the lighter riffs and drums. Whoever reads this, please give this thing a try. Buy their merch if you can. Also pick this one up on band camp for five bucks.

Love it

I do like Seahaven’s older stuff a little more, but nothing is wrong with this. Karma consequential, Andreas, On the Floor, and Love to Burn are probably my favorites. The entire album is awesome though. Love Seahaven can’t wait to see them live!!!

Soto is comparable to Thom Yorke here

I love that they did something different with their music creating a more atmospheric sound to it. A lot of post-hardcore bands sound the same if it's all aggressive, I like how Seahaven and Soto's laxed vocal style in Reverie Lagoon is showing they can do something out of the ordinary and make a pretty good album out of it. It reminds me of when Radiohead came together with Kid A completely innovating something different which turned into a huge masterpiece.

Based out of Torrance, California, Seahaven have built a sound for themselves that seeks to surprise the listener at every turn, often turning on a dime as it shifts from drifting atmospherics to driving punk. Seahaven unveiled their sound in 2010 with the release of their Ghost...
