iTunes Review

Making good on its title, this awesome six-song video EP finds Miranda Lambert and band playing in front-porch-jam formation, surrounded by glowing candles. The setting is warm and inviting as Lambert's set plays not too unlike VH1's Storytellers where she talks intimately about some of the songs' origins and inspirations. "White Liar" opens with Lambert discussing how she penned the tune with her friend Natalie Hemby after listening to a lot of bluegrass — this version boasts some air-tight vocal harmonies and lightning-fast leads played against stand-up bass lines. Switching gears, "Dead Flowers" downshifts into a lovelorn ballad with an impassioned performance that plays on the heartstrings more than the acoustic strings. Lambert explains how "The House That Built Me" was found on a pitch CD that was intended for Blake Shelton, but the song really hit home with her. In the sparse version played here, you can really see how the narrative almost moves her to tears. She closes with a folky rendition of "Love Is Looking for You" from 2005's Kerosene.

Good but..

I love Miranda and acoustic is my favorite version of most songs. But the guy singing annoyed me a lot. He was much too loud and did not sound to good. Not saying he is a bad singing just did not work with her. I love miranda's country tune and she is my favorite solo artist. I just can not get over that guys mic being so loud.

Its really good..Miranda Lambert is my favorite. Everyone should get this.. I like White Liar and Heart Like Mine.

Miranda rocks! I love her with all my <3!

Miranda Lambert defied all conventional notions of how a credible country career should proceed. Following an adolescence where she alternated between singing and acting, she came to prominence as not the winner but a runner-up on the 2003 American Idol knockoff Nashville Star, a dubious stepping stone to stardom if there ever were one, but Lambert's 2005 Kerosene obliterated any notion that she was a reality TV refugee. Filled with lithe, powerful neo-traditional country songs, many penned by Lambert...
