Gotta love the Bobs!

I've been digging the vocal stylings of The Bobs for years, and their "Too Many Santas" CD was a highlight in my holiday gift stash this year. Their arrangements and performances have always been virtuosic, so it's a treat to hear them stretch out on the Rhapsody in Blue. This may not be a track you listen too often - at 17+ minutes, you have to commit a good deal of attention - but it's a huge amount of fun. I especially like it when the arrangement "lifts off" from the Gershwin original into rollicking jazz style.

White Room Rocks

White Room is probably the best imprestion of Cream that I have ever heard. Buy It. These guys are still as great as they were before.


The Bobs have always been one of my favorite groups. It is a rare talent to have such a great sense of humor as well as great technical ability. There are few groups that are more entertaining. This album shows that not only have they not lost their gift, but they continue to get better.
