Album Review

Baker has been making solid, if unspectacular, records for several years now, trying to recapture the grace of Rapture. Despite several good songs and uniformly strong vocals, Rhythm of Love doesn't have enough flair to win back a mass audience.

Don't get it twisted

This is a superb album. Just because the mainstream didn't catch on means little to the quality of the work. Still better than what passes on current "blazing hip hop and R&B stations. Body and Soul, I Apologize, and It's Been You are the standouts but a solid piece of work from start to finish. It is not the best of her work but it is not that far off. Buy it. Now.

Anita Baker one of the Best

Unique, Exceptionally talented with a style thats unmatched all to her own. It is nothing wrong with Anita Baker or her music its something wrong with the music industry.... Maybe because its not about music. I watched Anita Baker take a Bob Marley song in 2009 and rip and not one of the mainstream artist that are popular today could handle that song better....

Unreal !!

"Rhythm of Love" has got the most underrated song of all time, I will never get enough of of Anita.

Smooth and mellow, but hardly lifeless, it made her one of the most popular romantic singers of her time. Baker was born January 26, 1958, in Toledo, Ohio, and raised in nearby Detroit, where she grew up listening...
