Album Review

Jim Stubblefield's Rhythm of the Heart continues the guitarist's exploration of Middle Eastern, Spanish, and Latin musical elements. Tracks like "Sombra" combine driving, syncopated rhythms, and languid guitars, resulting in an interesting blend of passion and reflection.

Excellent Chill Music!

I discovered JS while watching a skateboarding movie, and I really liked it. Having heard only one song (Hermosa) I was inspired to pick up the whole album, it's amazing. He moves from very flamenco influenced playing to almost Jazz like (see the song "Conscious") with ease. This is a great cd for anybody getting into flamenco or for a person who likes some good relaxing music. This is definitely great chill music but still involves a lot of skill to play. Great job JSG!

arriba!

oh hell ya, luke knows whats up, hermosa was in 411 issue 50 in a section about Barcelona. that song got me hooked, this is great relaxing but still catchy music by a talented artist.
