The Wrong Stuff

The actual soundtrack to the Right Stuff WOULD have been wonderful here, and it could easily have filled an entire album so one could enjoy the 'spell' of the film without an interruption. Unfortunately, NONE of the pieces here are exactly what appears in the film, and none are as good as in the film. You can't tell from the little clips on iTunes (a rare instance of iTunes feeling like it's "baiting and switching" you.) Every one of these are different, and none are improvements over the film versions. Disappointing. Maybe some day they'll release the ACTUAL soundtrack?

Your other left!

What a mess

Not only does this motley assortment of two soundtracks make no sense, The Right Stuff excludes the beautiful and stirring main theme! Whoever decided to pair a soundtrack about space exploration with one about the Civil War has the Wrong Stuff for brains!

While studying composition at Louisiana State University, Conti also performed with the school's symphony orchestra, spending his evenings playing jazz in area clubs; he subsequently earned his Master's degree from Julliard before relocating to Italy...
