Great Industrial Single

"Rituals" is definitely a single worth buying for the industrial aficionado. The title track is a great sample of what the upcoming album will sound like, and the remixes are outstanding in their own right. If you only pick up one track, I recommend Devil's Night (Modulate B-Ket Mix), but they're all well done. 5/5 stars.

God Mod Takes the Clubs

God Mod is quickly becoming my favorite industrial newcomer. I was hooked after "Spooky," but this... pure perfection. The Modulate mix of "Devil's Night" gets the highest rating I could give a track, and is sure to spin in the dark clubs for quite some time. Although a number of mixes of "Rituals" are great, I find the original to be best.

Hell? Yes!

Devil's Night is one of my all time favorite God Mod songs, (out of an extensive catalog of great songs) and it gets a perfect remix here. "Remember" is one of those underrated tracks from their recent and excellent "Seance" album, and it wasn't one I'd expect to find here but a very welcome remix as well. Not so fond of the white ring mix of Rituals, but the Mordacious mix was exactly the type of remix I was hoping for. (It and the original are the best, the others are still good.) Now how about a remix of "Plastic" (from Seance)? Go get the full album if you haven't already, every song is good.

Biography

Formed: 1999 in Orlando, FL

Genre: Electronic

Years Active: '00s, '10s

God Module (known to fans as simply God Mod) crawled from the crypt in Orlando, Florida in 1999 and have been crafting addictive goth-techno ever since. The artistic spawn of Jasyn Bangert and former member Andrew Ramirez, the group went on to include Clint Carney, Courtney Bangert, Jon Siren, Brill, and Andrew Pearson. Their brand of darkwave was shrouded in a purposefully spooky and scary image, but the music was sleek, throbbing, and highly danceable, like music patrons might hear in a piercings-and-tattoos...
