Never Not Amazing

I've bought this album twice now. Once at the release party in NYC and also on here. It's impossible to not relate to Jay's music. With honest lyrics that will resonate in your soul for days after listening, and stunning and original melodies that are impossible not to hum along with, this is the kind of music that anyone, any gender, sex, age, or nationality can appreciate. You can't go wrong with this album. I promise.

I was pleasantly shocked.. ;)

He's honest.

Jay's voice has such a warm tone and quality. When I listen to his songs its as if we're speaking to each other about our feelings, heartbreaks, disappointments, happy times, and dreams because he is so honest in his lyrics. Super vulnerable. Love that about him. It must be difficult to tell the world just how insecure you really are and Jay does it in a way that is so relatable. He also has a clever way of delivering his perspective.
My favorite line on another album; "Got my laptop for pleasure and my guitar for pain." Aaaaggghhh!
Listening to this new album on my way home from work today and already heard a few new lines I'll obsess over. Love it already. Buy it!

Brannan appeared as Seth in John Cameron Mitchell's 2006 film Shortbus, and his song "Soda Shop" was featured...
