Album Review

In 1998, Rhino Records reissued Rock and Roll: Gary Glitter's Greatest Hits with artwork that wasn't quite as silly as its original incarnation, with the intention of snagging sports fans who hold "Rock & Roll, Pt. 2" dear to their hearts. In either incarnation, Rock 'n' Roll is the definitive Gary Glitter collection, containing all of his singles, including "Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah!)," "I'm the Leader of the Gang," and "Hello! Hello! I'm Back Again."

Classics.

You've gotta be able to separate the man from the music. Things got sketchy at the end, but let's face it, Gary was the brightest star of the 70's. Though I've always been curious why iTunes has never had anything from Leader II or Boys Will Be Boys, let alone ON.

Excellent Songs!

Really?

Who is he kidding? One hit doesn't constitute a 32 song greatest hits record. And I thought Mr. Babysitter was still in prison.

The hits which catapulted him to fame in the early '70s, the anthemic "Rock and Roll" of course, but also the likes of "I'm the Leader of the Gang," "Do You Wanna Touch Me," and "I Love You Love Me Love," still have the capacity to stir an...
