Give Me Spunk Or Give Me Death

This song was put together by someone who knows music. Maybe they know it too well. I was buying the traditional rock & roll comeback. And it was good when Jet and Franz Ferdinand were booming, but I've heard too much of the same (even though Jet and Franz are guilty of dry repitition). If you loved what bands like The Darkness and Jet have and you want more, than by all means buy this single and wait for the CD. The song "Rock & Roll Queen," in my opinion, is too uniform and the lyrics--well, they just out-do themselves in every steriotypical way. It appears that the bland taste of this song leaves no spunk that is intended to punch out of the guitars and gritty vocals. All, for me, The Subways have to offer is a well constructed musical sense and a cute name. One can always walk the walk, but can one talk the talk? Listen to "Rock & Roll Queen" and see, for yourself, if The Subways can talk.

Chorus, Chorus, Chorus... No Verse?

Well I guess you get what you pay for. I did not hear a verse in the entire song, just chorus. Having said that, the chorus was quite childish and simple. I wouldn't recommend spending the time even downloading this free song of the week.

That was pretty boring

The lyrics are exeedingly boring. Even though it's free, i wouldn't download it.

The British band formed in Welwyn Garden City in 2002, when the three musicians were only in their early teens. Despite their young age, brothers Morgan and Lunn (the latter of whom took his mother's maiden name as his rock & roll moniker) were longtime music fans, having raided their parents' record collection as kids. Growing up on AC/DC, the Carpenters,...
