The Full Package

The Whispers knew how to do both (make romantic, soulful slow jams and also make great uptempo dance songs). The Whispers did both very well. There are so many Whispers songs that could have made this album, but didn't. And even though they are pretty popular with R&B fans, the Whispers are still in my opinion one of the most underrated groups. I don't recommend buying any Whispers greatest hits albums because group has made so many great songs that don't ever make the cut. Instead, check out all the Whispers individual albums, and buy the songs that you like individually. What they really need is an anthology compilation with about 30 - 35 songs.

Bad Dudes

These guys are outstanding and the twins are unbelievable. I have been listening to The Whispers for a long time and I like a lot of their songs including "In The Mood", "Lady", and "It's A Love Thing" and many more of their hits. I recommend The Whispers music to anybody who likes good music.

In 1969, the quintet climbed the soul charts for the first time with "The Time Has Come" on Soul Clock, and they cracked the R&B Top Ten the next year with "Seems Like I Gotta Do Wrong." They remained hitmakers...
