iTunes Review

Though he opens with “Light This Party Up,” a super-catchy dose of power-pop crunch, Springfield steers his 2016 set toward modern Nashville. Songs like “That One” and “The Best Damn Thing” don’t sound very far from Keith Urban or Rascal Flatts, whose Jay DeMarcus actually helped write the jangling “Down.” “Miss Mayhem” alternates dobro-strummed verses with a post-grunge chorus, and “All Hands on Deck” is a sea chantey with fiddles. Springfield sings mainly about women he feels lucky, or not so lucky, to know.

Kentucky Fried Rick! Love it!

Most guys his age are collecting Social Security and have retired to Florida but not this guy! He keeps growing as a musician! A role model for us all! Never slow down my friend!

Simply put...i love it! 👍 👍 👍 👍

Yes, men do listen to Rick Springfield... And this may be his best album since the 80's.

This song ROCKS!

Let Me In was previously released in its demo form as a bonus track on one of the copies of Rick Springfield's 2012 cd Songs For the End of the World (4 versions were released, each with a different cover, plus a Japanese release, an iTunes release and an acoustic version). This completed version has slightly different lyrics from the demo version and has a country flair which goes with the overall style of Rocket Science. It's a beautiful song, I loved it as a demo and I love it more now that it's finished.:-)

Although Rick Springfield's music was frequently dismissed as vapid teen idol fare, his best moments have actually withstood the test of time far better than most critics would ever have imagined, emerging as some of the most well-crafted mainstream power pop of the 1980s. A singer-turned soap opera star-turned singer, Springfield was born Richard Springthorpe on August 23, 1949, in Sydney, Australia, to a military man; the family moved around Australia and England a great deal during Rick's childhood,...
