Its like the Bloodhound Gang, Eminem, and mc chris in a Blender

If you like West Coast style hip hop, this album has things for you. But if you have a strong distaste for the monotony of modern hip hop and its repetitive focus on guns, bling, and other violent pursuits this album won't alienate you. Its as if the Bloodhound Gang released a true hip hop record. At least the Bloodhound Gang from a few years ago. The album, Rocky Loves Emily, recieved its title from a chant in the movie 3 Ninjas. The album abounds with cheeky references to riduclous pop culture references and sick hooks. Yet, its hard to Pigeon hole. Easily my favorite track is Hodown. Hodown is what you would expect from a club hit: a jam about a racous party at a club. However, the wit applied to the topic gives it more than passing appeal. Twisted lyrics will be running through your head for days. The album opens with "makeOUTparty" an almost adorable take on asking a girl out. Chivalry abounds, but the Former Fat Boys have designed the album so that "makeOUTparty" is one bookend and the other bookend, the last track, "Slumber Party!" borrows the same opening line, but heads in a decisively more adult version. Its a better transition from daytime pursuits to nightime misbehavior than Nelly made with Sweat and Suit. The album in parts feels like going to Neverland must for an adult. Its essentially about not growing up and when you have to grow up, have some fun with it. Ice Ice Baby is reworked with a sample from Ben Folds Five's Brick and a new chorus making a joke about white rappers. There's something here for everyone.

Fantastic Album!

This is one of my favorite albums! The songs are catchy as hell and the hooks are outstanding!

proof positive that if this guy and jaime kennedy can get rap deals anyone can. voice is so annoying beats are crap. lets make a bunch of cliche songs about boobies, havent heard that before. maybee if i was 12 and just read my first playboy i would think this is funny.
