Voice of the century

Wow.. Words can not express what the artistry of this woman has done for me or my passion for music. Any classical voice listener would be grateful to have this collection in their library. It is imperative for any singer to have knowledge of the voice of Marilyn Horne. And, what better way than the complete decca recitals!? Brava, brava, BRAVA!

Thank heavens for Marilyn Horne!!

Buy this album! Horne's voice is indescribable. Her vocal agility is awe-inspiring, and her lyrical singing is so passionate and emotional. And, even though she's not my favorite for everything she sings (the Fidelio aria belongs to Christa Ludwig), she's so stylistically believable no matter what she sings that I can't stop listening to her! Personal highlights for me are the arias from "Le Siege de Corinthe" and "La Donna del Lago". It's simply not possible for another human being to every outdo her!! Having all these precious recordings in one place is great!
