A rockin' Christmas classic... with the Human Riff

What a holiday gift for us Keithaholics!!! Run Rudolph Run was written by Johnny Marks and Marvin Brodie and it became a hit for Chuck Berry in 1958. Twenty years later, Keith Richards released his version of the classic. But for years, the song was basically inaccessible to many fans… until now. Keith sounds fantastic and it’s a great way to rock your Christmas season! Pressure Drop has a wonderful reggae feel as Keith joins Toots and the Maytals. I highly recommend both songs!

So nice to hear this without scratches and pops

This is the kind of re-release that makes so much sense in the iTunes era, this is a great track that has only been available as a vinyl 45 or a vinyl 45 rip on bootleg anthologies for years. Pressure Drop is a nice enough version and this is a good opportunity to bring an outtake to the light of day but one wonders why they did not include The Harder They Come (the original RRR vinyl b-side) to make this a truly merry Christmas release.

The Harder They Come?

This was always a great single, but at the risk of sounding ungreatful, the original vinyl single for this cut had a cover of Jimmy Cliff's "The Harder They Come" on the B side - it'd be nice to see it included here. Still great stuff, though.

His prodigious consumption of drugs and alcohol has been well documented, and would likely have destroyed anyone with a less amazing endurance level. On-stage with the Rolling Stones, he epitomized guitar-hero cool as the quiet, stoic alter ego to Mick Jagger's extroverted frontman,...
